WARRIORS OF THE LAST DAYS POST-APOCALYPTIC SERIES
Warriors of the Last Days is a dystopian post-apocalyptic speculative fiction series set in a devastated Canada, with each city revealing a different face of collapse, adaptation, and control, often in relation to their local specificity and history.

It explores the people and communities that remain: how they adapted to catastrophe, how they choose to survive, and the systems they build to impose order on a broken world. Those systems, and the costs they impose, shape the lives of everyone who must endure within them.
Blending a dystopian atmosphere with philosophical tension and grounded human stakes, the Warriors of the Last Days series revolves around a central question: what does it mean to remain human?
The tone is cerebral yet visceral. The focus is less on spectacle and more on internal collapse. The apocalypse here is not only fire and ash.
Nothing is clear cut. Morality shifts. The stories ask difficult questions and do not soften their answers. This series is not for everyone. The endings are often bittersweet. The heroes do what they can, when they can. Hard decisions are taken. Ecology has run completely amok.
The stories unfold through novels, short stories, and visual media. Some arcs span several books in the series. some interconnected in time and in geography.
Others stand alone. Each takes place in a different Canadian city, province, or territory, large or small, exploring another facet of life at the edge of collapse.
This is not a story about the end of the world.
It is about the fragments that remain, and the people who refuse to surrender them.
NOVELS IN THE MONTREAL SERIES
ABOUT THE MONTREAL ARC
The Montreal arc begins with The Refusal and continues through a connected sequence of novels and interstitial short stories that expand the world, deepen the characters, and trace the fault lines between survival and submission.
Some stories follow those who escaped. Others follow those who stayed. All of them belong to the same larger reckoning.
This is a world of ruined infrastructure, mutated ecology, oppressive systems, fractured communities, and the stubborn human instinct to keep moving even when the world has turned against motion itself.
ALSO IN THIS WORLD
If you have reached the end of The Refusal, you have only seen the first fracture.
Inside the Montreal arc, the world of Warriors of the Last Days series extends beyond the main novels.
Expect:
• companion short stories
• world expansions centered on specific locations and communities
• system documents, warnings, fragments, and records
• future collected editions
Not every survivor gets a novel.
Some still leave a mark.

Stéphane Roy is a lifelong reader and writer with a deep love for science fiction, apocalyptic worlds, and tightly constructed mysteries. This is his first novel. He lives in the Yukon with his dog and his aquarium, where long winters, silence, and wide, sometimes glowing, skies leave plenty of room for imagining the end of the world, and what might come after it. He is also waiting, with cautious optimism, for the aliens to finally reveal themselves and straighten us all out.
