CANADIAN POST-APOCALYPSE FICTION
Mapping the End of Canada When we first imagined Warriors of the Last Days, one promise guided the entire project: if the apocalypse came to Canada, it wouldn’t stop at Montreal. Today, we’re excited to unveil one of the project’s most ambitious features: the Story Atlas. The interactive map lets readers explore every location featured in the series. Hover over a pin to discover the stories that...
POST-APOCALYPTIC FICTION IN MONTREAL
Post-Apocalyptic STORIES Set in Montreal: From Surréal 3000 to Today Most post-apocalyptic fiction takes place somewhere else. The American Southwest. Small towns in the Midwest. Anonymous ruins that could belong to almost any city. Montreal rarely appears on lists of famous apocalypse settings, yet it may be one of the most naturally suited cities in North America for stories about collapse. It...

It felt only right that its teaser would burn hotter, move faster, strike deeper. Instead, we stalled. The iconic Montreal Olympic Stadium...

THE CAVERN
THE ST-LÉONARD CAVERN IN MONTRÉAL In the novels, the Cave is not merely a shelter beneath stone. It is memory made geological. Air hangs heavy with mineral breath. Sound travels strangely, as if the walls are listening before they return it. The Cave does not protect so much as it witnesses. Water threads through limestone in patient silence, carrying traces of the world above: ash, runoff...

Stéphane Roy is a lifelong reader and writer with a deep love for science fiction, apocalyptic worlds, and tightly constructed mysteries. This is his first novel. He lives in the Yukon with his dog and his aquarium, where long winters, silence, and wide, sometimes glowing, skies leave plenty of room for imagining the end of the world, and what might come after it. He is also waiting, with cautious optimism, for the aliens to finally reveal themselves and straighten us all out.
